Vietnamese tektites belong to the Indochinite strewn field located in Southeast Asia. These tektites, predominantly black and sometimes green in color, originated from a high pressure meteorite impact event around 700,000 years ago. Intense heat from the impact expelled debris into the atmosphere, swiftly melting materials in its trajectory, which then solidified into glass.
