Each piece is completely unique from the other, therefore there are several differences we want to point out:

Individual pieces typically range from 1” to 1.5” in length, and anywhere from 1/4” to 3/4” in width. They are typically no thicker than 1/4”.

Some pieces are shaped like tubes, some are sealed tubes (not hollow inside), while others might show a dark, burned side and not be tubular at all.
